Love

After shooting her bridals, the big day came! The bride and groom were glowing and couldn't keep their eyes off one another. Oh the love!

The Holiday Inn Express in Ennis was such a great location for the intimate wedding. They were open to plan changes (Thanks Texas weather!) and with us pretty much taking over the hotel! :)

The final walk as a single lady!

Kids grow up so fast

It amazes me how fast kids grow up. I now that in my mind's eye these lil ones are still this size. But alas they are not. Do not rush the kids in your life to grow up.

She was really digging that turkey leg.

She wasn't ready for her close up.

Ooommm turkey....

Soak it up.

Cowboy up!

While I was down at Blue Bonnet Park in Ennis I happened upon this cowboy. :) He's pretty cool I have to say.

Shots I like

So sometimes when I'm looking through the hundreds of photos I've taken over the years some just stick out for some reason. Alot of the time they are just experimental in nature and when they come out, it really is exciting!

Watch out, he's a pool shark. :)

Motion is hard to catch.

Train Ride

A while back I rode the Amtrak to Austin to visit a friend. On the way down there I rode with a father and his two ADORABLE sons. They were the most well-mannered, polite little boys I've ever met.

Each one took turns telling me about the trains we passed and their favorite things. I wish I had gotten an email or contact information from those guys. I'll just have to settle for the pictures I got of them.

DFW

DFW is such a great place to shoot. You never know what kind of pictures you will get if you just go out with your camera and shoot. I think the best kind of pictures are the ones where you just go out and shoot what you see as it comes. I apply this practice to my shoots with people also. It lets people relax and interact with each other, and it shows through in the pictures.

Reunion Tower from the train downtown.

Coming into Downtown on the Dart from Oak Cliff.

Fort Worth from the train station.

The TRE between Dallas and Fort Worth. More people should take it, its a great way to get between Dallas and Fort Worth and the town around them.

Thanksgiving Tower, Dallas

A kaleidoscope of colors.

DFW continues to give people great things to look at and do.

Bridals

I got my first taste of bridal shooting with Katy. I'm so lucky she was such a laid back bride! She was up for anything. And not too mention she looked gorgeous!

These pictures were taken at Bluebonnet Park in Ennis, Texas.

How great was it that the pink in the bouquet I brought was the pink she was using?

Spot color is such a great tool!

Told ya she was cool! :)

Air Show

My family and I went to the Air Show down in Waxahachie Texas the last time it was in town. Here are a few shots from that day.

They were flying SO close to each other. MAJOR skills involved.

The act of flying still amazes me.

Emma

Emma is a wonderful happy kid. I'm glad she is a part of my life. I've had the opportunity to take some pictures of her in her environment, which I think is best for getting candid happy kid pictures. Hopefully, once her little brother comes I will be able to get some more of the lil squishies!

Her first trip to the Texas State Fair was pretty exciting. I was impressed she wanted to walk as much as she did.

She laughs ALL the time and it is adorable.

Emma, you are too cute.

Kidron

This special lady is always a delight to photograph. She has such joy and prettiness that it is hard to get a bad picture of her! I have done a couple of different shoots with Kidron so I may have a couple of entries with her as the main event! The following shots were done at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens to celebrate her graduation from TCU (Go Frogs!) and her commissioning into the United States Air Force.

I think the combination of teal and the vivacious red is an amazing combination on her.

The flowers were so hard to resist! :)

Her playful side always manages to come out and really light up the camera.

Thanks for always inspiring me to shoot more!!

Nature

I LOVE shooting nature and the outdoors. It amazes me how different and beautiful God made each flower, tree and rock. These are a few of the pictures I've taken around North Texas.

This one is at Joe Pool Lake at the State Park. You would be surprised the things you find on the beach over there. This was taken after a pretty intense storm.

This was taken in the field by my house. I absolutely love thistles. Too bad they are too sharp to really pick and use in an arrangement. They are more of an, get close but don't touch, type of flower. :)

These blossoms were on a tree at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. The gardens are so beautiful all year around, but if you go in early spring things are just springing to life! (no pun intended!)
This one was also taken at the Botanical Gardens.

Rachel

So I thought I would start out my blogging with an entry from a shoot that I/we shot last summer in Lewisville. Rachel (my lovely model) wanted to do some America's Next Top Model type of photos. She's fierce and beautiful! :)

We do an "annual" photo shoot. So, there will be more of this lovely lady.

These are just a few of my favorite shots we got that day.

Thanks Rachel for being a great model!!
